Q: I just found out that it is retarded and dont know what to do. it has the trisomy somehow? They said it will never be normal and i should abort. my husband wants to abort, but i dont know for sure. i dont want a retard baby but is trisomy that bad? how retarded will it be?
A: look i am going to go against all of the previous posters…. I have spend 8 years visiting my mum at her job working for disability services. based on the FACTS i will give my opinion. First find out which form of the disability it is and what are the chances of a happy pain free life with slight deformities or mental retardation. If there is a high risk then YES i suggest you do think very very strongly about bringing the child into this world..As even the most loving and commit ed parents and families are very often unable to cope with the constant care needed to support these children….AND even when they are teens and adults they require the SAME level of constant care…IF NOT MORE. at least 86% of these children/adults are placed in an institution and their QUALITY OF LIFE is debatable…..of the other 14% over half are placed in REGULAR care. Also there is the costs involved with this…..now i know that we all give up everything for our kids and blah blah…BUT i am not simply talking about the NORMAL cost…i am talking about MEDICAL costs that equal more that 3 average house loans…..The alterations to your home and transport…costing upwards of the price on your average family home….Then there is the constant strain on yours and your partners relationship, family, friends, life in general…. I really could go on for HOURS HERE. BUT i think that the people who say “they would never” they are being selfish…..BE REAL ABOUT THIS….. ABORTION IS AND SHOULD ONLY BE USED IN CASES LIKE THIS OR FOR MATERNAL HEALTH……..GET OF YOUR HIGH HORSE’S and give this poor woman some empathy.
Is it normal to abort your baby using birth control.?
Q: I talked to a girl I know. We were taling about babies and she says “Yeah, when I was a senior in high school I was engaged and I had a misscarriage.” I said “OMG, I am so sorry!” and she says “Oh no, I was sooooo happy!!! I wasnt ready for a baby.” She then explained how she had a misscarriage becasue she took birth control to have a misscarriage.Isn’t that technicially having an abortion? Is that unsafe? What the baby doesn’t abort and it is born deformed? What happens when you have a misscarriage? Does the baby plop out and you can look at it and see its baby shape?
A: Hi, There are 2 types of abortionsL1- spontaneous2- inducedEarly abortifacientsAbortion can be caused in the first two weeks of life by birth-control methods which prevent the implantation of the embryo in the mother’s womb. Although many advocates of such techniques refer to this action as contraceptive, it actually involves the death of an embryo in the womb and is therefore abortifacient. Abortion can be caused by: * birth control implants * birth control vaccines * intra-uterine devices (coils) * the morning-after pill * other forms of contraceptive pill.Th e effect on the baby is unknown… No studies have found that babies were hurt mentally or physically due too birth control induced abortions… Not to mention that if the first method didn’t work, the mother can seek the help of a doctor to get the abortion. Usually, the birth control method works if you are 2 weeks pregnant or less…It can be unsafe since no true effects are known. When you have a miscarriage – a spontaneous abortion – You experience bleeding, lower abdominal pain (mild or strong), the embryo – or foetus will pass through blood, just like having a high flow unexcepted period. Some women have lost their babies in their 5 or 6th months of pregnancy, at that time, it is like a too early delivery, yes, the shape might be apparent since the pregnancy is advanced enough… You probably would already be in the hospital for having contractions like cramps. Generally, it is too early in pregnancy to see the actuall shape of a baby… It might be as big as a ping pong ball… will look like a big blob of blood.Hope this helps 🙂
If you had an amniocentesis and determined that your baby was going to born with abnormalities would you abort
Q: If you are going to tell me that abortion is wrong and blah blah blah, I already know that so I don’t want to hear it. I also don’t want to hear about how its killing a child cause I know that too. This is just simply a hypothetical situation and I want to know what others would do in this situation.
A: People can say no or yes right off the bat, but I don’t think you can really answer in certainty until you are in that situation. As of this very moment, I would say no. I feel that I am mature and financially stable enough to be able to manage. However, 5 years ago I think I would have a different answer. It’s extremely difficult to see your child living with disabilities while the whole world is advancing around them. I think it also depends on the actual disability or abnormality.
