Anyone had a successful pregnancy after heavy bleeding in early weeks?
Q: Hi there,I know I’m probably praying for a miracle but I took a pregnancy test last week, positive, I was 8 days late and I already started to feel hungrier (which is what has happened in previous pregnancies – have two children). The next day I had some brown discharge….followed the next day by what seems like a normal period, with some clotting at first but now it has settled into what I would have assumed was a period had I not have taken the pregnancy test. I also took a pregnancy test the day of the heavy bleeding and it was positive.I can’t get a scan (as it’s too early) until this week at least – so I just wanted to put the question out there – Has anyone had heavy bleeding during pregnancy, early stages, and still gone on to have a successful pregnancy and labour etc.I’ve read alot of bleeding stories (and did bleed with my other two pregnancies but that was nothing heavy), but you don’t really get to hear what happened after to those people.thanks guys, say a little prayer for me too!x
A: I’ve had heavy bleeding during three pregnancies…the first one I ended up delivering early (@ 26 weeks after my waters broke at 19 weeks…it was a horrible pregnancy all round, but my son survived and is ten now). The second time I went on to have an uneventful pregnancy and delivered at 36 weeks. The third time was with this current pregnancy…I bled heavily for two days, then spotted for another three or four at what would have been 5 weeks and actually thought it was just my period a little late (my cycle is usually 33-35 days, so it wasn’t very late, just a few days). Some other symptoms caused me to be suspicious, so I took a pregnancy test a few weeks later, and lo and behold I was pregnant. Went and had an ultrasound because the bleeding made my doctor and I unsure of the dates…it turned out I’m pregnant with twins and either had heavy implantation bleeding or a sub chorionic bleed (common with twins). I’m 24 weeks now, and everything is going well.Good luck for you too, hopefully you’re going to be okay. ((you))
Has anyone experienced Decidual Bleeding during pregnancy?
Q: Hi, I’ve come across something called decidual bleeding. It says it is one of the most common causes of period-like-bleeding during pregnancy and that your bodys hormones can get out of whack causing you to lose parts of the lining of the uterus. This is especially common during the early stages of pregnancy before the lining has completely attached to the placenta. Most women say that when they have decidual bleeding they do not test positive on tests because bleeding during pregnancy usually messes with hormone counts. Decidual bleeding is thought to be caused by embalanced hormones. It occors for a few days around the time of your expected period. Now I guess what I am asking is, has anyone gone through this or know someone who has? this is what I believe I am going through. I have had all pregnancy symptoms for the past 3 mths. 3 mths ago, I was 2 weeks late for my period. I started on Jan.3’rd, bled one day spotted 2 days 2 days later passed cervical tissueAmonth later I started to bleed on Feb. 1’st and again I bled for one day, spotted the next 2 days, fully stopped bleeding, and passed another small piece of cervical tissue, and this month the same thing. I started bleeding on March 1’st, bled one day, spotted 2, and 3 days later passed a small piece of cervical tissueI have been to 2 different ER’s and niether knew what to tell me. The first ER thought I had a miscarriage, the second ER thought I might have a cyst in my ovary or endemetriosis. But I have not had all the symptoms for any of those.3 mths ago I had a blood test that was done that came up negative, but that could have been too early. I have had plenty of urine tests that came up negative, but I definitely still have symptoms of pregnancy . And if I am then I am probably going on four months. My symptoms have been very irregular light period which may not be a period at all, I have had breast enlargement from a 36c cup to a 38d cup size. I am already producing breast milk which is really wierd. I have been extremely tired, bloated gassy, went from a size 7 jeans straight to a size 12 jeans, nausea, breast soreness for the first month, itchy skin, too uncomfortable to sleep, lower back pain, mostly in the morning and at night, tingly breastsI sleep but I wake up constantly tossing and turningI finaly have an appointment with an obgyn that will take me with no insurance on april 1’st. That’s the earliest that they could get me in. Hopefully I’ll get something resolved then, but until then I would like for as much advice and opinions I can get. They also did tests at both Er’s to see if I have any infections and they were both negative which was goodI have also felt fluttering on and off this whole time mostly in the lower middle part of my abdomen and what feels like muscle twitches, and I have a home fetal heart beat monitor and both my sister-in-law and I think we can hear a heart beat but we are not for sure, it seems like it is to fast for us to count the beats and sounds like thier are double beats, but does not sound the same as my own heartbeatAnd this is definitely not what people call a phantom pregnancy because I had know idea that this stuff was going to start happening to me and I didnt even have the thought of a baby in my headI have also been having some really realistic dreams lately of me being pregnantI also have been urinating very frequently and having alot of discharge like every day to every other day. And I have been eating like crazy. I crave nothing but sweets and salad, both of which are very rare for me. And I eat alot of butter bread with sugar which I havent ate since I was a kid. Also with my son Caleb He is 5 now but I went to a clinic in California when i was 2 months pregnant with him and had a blood test and a urine test done that were negative. 2 weeks later at the same clinic they were positive. My son Jonathan, I didnt find out I was pregnant until I was 3 months but I didnt take a test with him until then so I would’nt know if I would have tested positive with him that early or not.I have no idea what is going on with me but this seems to be the only thing that I have found that even remotely sounds like what I have been going through. And it describes everything I have gone through so decidual bleeding has got to be it. I was worried about cervical cancer because I had pre-cancer cells of the cervix back in 2003 but I had a biopsy done this year and my tests were normal and I was told I would not get pregnancy symptoms for cancer of the cervix, so that took my worry away from that. So I am hoping that this is decidual bleeding in pregnacy and not something else wrong with me.I think I felt alot of movement last night and it did not feel like gas. It was nonstop in my right lower abdomen twitches and fluttering for 2 hours straight on and off It would come for a minute and go for 2 minutes and come for a minute. What else could that be.
A: if you were pregnant im sure the hospital would have caught it….buuuuttt, even though we have good technology you could still be pregnant and the only way to find out is through ultra sound, if that shows nothing then your probably not pregnant….or in the more oddest cases…you could have had an etopic pregnancy and the tub busted…explainig the bleeding and tissue….then the baby started to grow outside of your uterus…has happened before but only a few cases ever reported….well good luck
During the early stages of pregnancy?
Q: Did anyones stomach feel tighter?Hard to explain but like… when you breathed in did your stomach just feel tighter than usual and jut different to wat it normally did, before pregnancy?I’m not sure if I am pregnant…Not sure when my last perioed was but going on events that I can pin to around the time of it, I can be pretty much certain it was over 5 weeks ago (and my cycle is usually only 26 days). However, I was on the pill and when my pack ran out, I didn’t get another and just stopped taking them. So I’m wondering if my periods just haven’t got back to normal after stopping taking it (it was the pill where you have a seven day break in between packs an have a bleed)as iv heard of peoples periods messing up when they stop taking it.Another symptom.. I keep feeling slightly sick in the evenings and obviously sicknes can be related to pregnancy.I’m hungrier than usual, is this ever common in pregnancy?I know the obvious anwswer is to take a test, which I will do if my period hasn’t shown by next week… Just wanting peoples opinions…And the stomach thing, my stomach feeling different and tighter… as thats one of the main things making me wonder… can anyone relate that to pregnancy? Thanks.I did get my period when I stopped taking it, I stopped taking it like just over 5 weeks ago and got my period wstraight away, but its this next period that I’v not got, that when I work it out I THINK should have been due around the 31st december… maybe before mayve a bit after… but I’m sure it been longer than a month.I’m not taking the pill anymore. I said I’v stopped taking it in my question. But the birth control pill doesn’t make your body abort that baby anyway. It can produce genital changes and cause defects in the baby (meaning the baby could be born with disabilities), but there is only a slight chance of it.You should read up on that if you are confused.
A: It can take a while for your periods to get back into a natural pattern. The period you had after finishing your pack was a pill induced period not a natural period. If you have had unprotected sex since, then you are at risk of getting and being pregnant. The symptoms you are having could be because you are thinking about pregnancy and are more aware of what is happening. If your period doesn’t come then get a test, but I don’t remember having those symptoms in early pregnancy. I didn’t even get morning sickness until I was told I was pregnant (13 wks) and then it was a sicky feeling and only lasted a week. You haven’t said how old you are, the hunger, the pains and the sickness could be you body getting used to not having the extra hormones (from the pill) in your system.Good Luck anyway.
