“American Idol” Season 11 will be returning very soon. The first episode will air on January 22, 2012. Will it live up to its expectations and be just as good as the American “X Factor”? We hope so.
The judges, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez have been getting ready for next year’s show. They have finally given out golden tickets for Hollywood auditions. Many might be wondering if there are more younger contestants like last year. If Season 11 is anything like the American “X Factor’s” contestants then “American Idol” might be more interesting. Perhaps, there will be some interesting faces auditioning too!
Here are a few names on who has received golden tickets to Hollywood for Season 11.
What Sort of Contestants Have the Judges Picked?
The judges will be probably looking for someone unique for next year’s show, as they have to top Simon Cowell’s American “X Factor.” Have the judges found great potential and talented contestants? We may see some unusual auditions with some great dancing and hopefully some funny ones too. Let’s hope the judges give us something to look forward to for next year’s show!
Alex Wong
Alex Wong, who was a former contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 7 has supposedly gotten a golden ticket to Hollywood according to a Wet Paint article. Alex had to drop out in July due to a ruptured Achilles tendon and now he has auditioned for “American Idol” Season 11. For those who have not watched Alex dance on “So You Think You Can Dance,” here is a clip on Youtube. Alex was an amazing dancer on the show and was a successful contender to win it, but it was obviously not meant to be. Will he be a contender for “American Idol”? He must be able to sing for the judges to have given him a golden ticket. Let’s hope he gave an amazing audition, as it will be interesting to see next year!
Todd MacIntyre
Todd MacIntyre is the little brother of Scott MacIntyre, who was a contestant on Season 8 of “American Idol.” Todd is a talented singer and has a few videos on Youtube giving outstanding performances. According to Todd’s website, he has sang in many places like Tokyo, Eastern Canada, Colorado, Virginia, Washington DC, Saipan and Japan. He has, also, worked as a model in some national print campaigns, such as, Pet Smart and Dillard’s. Todd has had lead roles in musicals, such as, “Grease,” and shows a tremendous amount of singing talents. It seems he will be a very popular contender for the show. Let’s hope he goes far!

Other contestants that received golden tickets according to Wet Paint are Ashley Robles, who has some videos out on Youtube, Courtney Fledge, DeAndre Brackensick, Elijah Liu, Erika Van Pelt, Jessica Sanchez, Lauren Gray and Lindsay Romney. Let’s hope they gave some interesting auditions for Season 11!
