I remember watching Dr. Phil when he had on a special with toddlers that were either forced or influenced to be in pageants by their moms. The audience seemed to think that the moms were ridiculous for putting their child through all of that.
One woman even said that the mothers are sending the kids the wrong message. I understand exactly what they’re saying, but for the most part, I disagree. If these women aren’t teaching their kids to have good character, then yes they are sending the kids the wrong message. But if they are teaching their kids good character in addition to teaching them how to value beauty, I think it’s a great message.
I don’t know what made women think that putting a little girl in a beauty contest is sending the wrong message. If you ask me, these girls are dealing with reality. We are always in a beauty contest whether we think so or not. We are always being judged by our looks. Pageants are preparing these girls for the real world.
And besides, men are attracted to beautiful women. As much as women are obsessed with the idea of marriage, we should also realize that the men that have the most to offer don’t seem to go for less than pretty women. Money is important to us in a marriage, and men with money don’t seem to marry unattractive women. And the ones that do don’t seem to value those women very much.
There is only one thing that is possibly just as powerful (or maybe even more) powerful than beauty, and that is sex. We will talk a little about that later. But men have a big ego, and they will always gravitate toward a woman that makes them feel the best.
Every man is looking for a trophy. They are looking for someone to show off to others. Even if the woman isn’t beautiful, she can still contribute to his ego by the way she conducts herself. As long as she makes the man feel like a man, then she has an advantage. It’s just that a beautiful woman is usually the most common thing that a man wants to show off. I personally think that men marry the most beautiful woman they can get. If you are a married woman, I can bet you that your husband’s exes are uglier than you. It’s funny, but it’s true.
