The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D

‘The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D’ is a great game. It is similar to the original game only better.

As most gamers know, ‘The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time’ is considered by most critics to be the best video game of all time. This remake of the original is just amazing.

This game, ‘The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time 3D’ was released on June 19, 2011 here in North America. This is quite similar to the original ‘Ocarina of Time’, which released for the Nintendo 64, but this version has 3D enhanced graphics.

They did change the game play mechanics to allow use of the touch screen, such as how you go about choosing equipment, and playing that all-important Ocarina. With the aiming system for instance takes advantage of the 3DS’s gyroscopic technology. In the original version you had to use a normal thumb stick to aim, in the new version it is optional. Coupled with the 3DS it makes for a new and very exciting gaming experience.

With stunning graphics, even the same old story line can seem new. I played the original one countless times all the way though. This remake seemed as fresh as the first day I played the original.

Along with the original storyline, it also comes with a revamped version of the master quest mode. Master quest mode, as the name states, is for people who mastered the game. It cranks up the difficulty, giving monsters more health, changing boss fights, and making puzzles more difficult to solve. Master quest also has a boss challenge mode, which doubles boss health, and makes the arena backwards.

It also includes a feature, which many fans would have really liked in the first version. That feature is the ability to re-fight bosses without doing the whole story line over again.

While many of the bosses were a pain to beat, there are a few that were just fun, such as Bongo Bongo. This strange creature with detached hands plays a giant bongo drum. The bongo served as the platform you stand on during the battle. The fight saw you bouncing around the majority of the time, and using the lens of truth to see the boss when it goes invisible.

This is my favorite games of 2011. ‘The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time’ is great. I will actually shut off my Xbox 360, plug in my n64 just to play this game. To get the chance to experience it in amazing 3D is way cool. The only thing I do not like about it is the fact that it does not have a rumble feature.
