Terrell Owens: Keeps Spirits Up Despite Low NFL Team Interest in Workout Sessions

Terrell Owens is upbeat despite a bad turnout during his workout sessions in Casablanca, California today. Virtually no NFL teams were interested in T.O. and the speculation by NFL Network’s crews is maybe no one showed up because they didn’t want opposing teams to know they were looking at the free agent wide receiver, USA Today reports. Was that the case or is that Owens is someone they want to stay away from?

For the last week or so, the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans were supposedly considering a look at Terrell Owens. Just last week T.O.’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said coach Mike Munchak of the Titans would like to sign on Owens, but that didn’t prove to be true once the workout began earlier today.

Here’s what Terrell Owens said about the lack of interest in his tryouts today:

“I only need one team,” Owens said. “I only need one chance.”

Terrell Owens has recovered well since his alleged drug overdose several weeks ago. No further information was elaborated upon after the emergency 911 call in LA. The WR is healed from his ACL surgery and ready to sign on with an NFL team. Like he said, it just takes one chance.
