I’m one of those people that used to give guys that I wasn’t interested in my phone number just so I won’t look mean. I would give them my number, then after they walked away, I’d be like, “Oh God, what did I just do?”
I had no idea that I could just say no to these guys. I had no idea that I could’ve just kept walking and ignored them altogether. But I just had this strong will to be a nice girl, and ended up getting myself into things just so I won’t be viewed as mean.
I’m glad that I have learned my lesson. I have learned that everyone isn’t worth my time. All of those guys that got my number didn’t all deserve my number. They were simply not worth my precious time. I didn’t know how much I changed until recently when a guy approached me and I said, “Look, I’m busy. Please don’t bother me.”
You don’t have to waste your time dealing with anyone that isn’t worth it. If you don’t feel like dealing with them, don’t acknowledge them whatsoever. Just stay headstrong on your mission and ignore all the people that may stand in the way. If they insist on getting in the way, don’t be afraid to blow them off. Your time is precious, and your time is money. So wasting time is like wasting money!
