Peyton Manning Vs Tom Brady

Every generation of sports has it…. What is “IT”? IT.. is simply that match-up that everyone wants to see no matter how many times they go against each other. Some examples can be Ali vs Frazier (RIP), Jordan vs Bird, Magic vs Bird even, ha Jordan in the finals vs the field, and of course Manning vs Brady. Right now it doesn’t stack up to the wondrous names I threw out in the other sports, but in 10 years it will be just the same. The problem is that we never really realize how great these match-ups are until we don’t see them anymore. So here is what we know now…

1. Brady and Manning have met often and Brady has come up with the “W” more often than manning including the playoffs.
2. Brady has won more Super Bowls than Manning.
3. Manning has more MVP’s than Brady.

When making the decision on who is better i took into account all of those MAJOR factors. What people fail to realize is that more of those things go into being an MVP or Super Bowl winner. Example: Coaching staff, offensive and defensive Coordinators, division strength which means AFC EAST vs AFC SOUTH, home games vs competition and more. I summed it all up and came up with this idea.

Both quarterbacks are hall of fame players and the first one to get in will be the first one to retire permanently. No argument there.

There have been no real blowouts when they play against each other. There have been snow games, great weather games, and more and the stats are comparable. No argument there.

Those are all things that are debatable but not really. Those things are not difference makers. The true difference maker is what is happening currently in the NFL. Tom Brady is having another great season. The Patriots had Randy Moss a few years ago and were great. The next year Tom Brady got hurt early in the season and Matt Cassell stepped in. He won 11 games and lost 5 with that superior machine of a team. Tom Brady came back, they were still a great team. Matt Cassell leaves and goes to the Kansas City Chiefs and is proven to be sub par. (1 good season)

Peyton Manning has had great seasons as well. He has missed his first snap, basically in his career which has turned out to be the entire season. His Matt Cassell (quarterbacks that have filled his role this season) have combined to win 0 games. ZERO. Peyton Manning is irreplaceable, hence the best quarterback this generation will see.

Bill Belicheck is a mastermind with game plan and more. Saying that, for a long while the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS were decently marginal, the bills stank worse than year old garbage, and the Dolphins haven’t been relevant since Marino. He has dominated his division though it wasn’t very tough.

Peyton has dominated his division as well winning 10 games every year including the division crown. The Titans were always tough, Jacksonville was pretty good, and the Houston Texans… well.. you know… were (insert euphemism) up and coming.

I like both quarterbacks but Peyton Manning would have won 10 games again this year by his regular routine of confusing all defenses, throwing to anybody that can line up in an X, Y, or Z position, and just being Manning. When it is all said and done Brady will have more Super Bowls, but would he if he played with a different organization? Peyton would.

thanks and that’s
