NFL Spread Picks – Week 14

Welcome to NFL Spread Picks – Week 14.

Week 13 results: (8-14). Overall: (68-59-3).
Last week was a tough one to say the least, sometimes the ball bounces that way. This week I’m bouncing back; come along for the ride.

Note: Teams that are at least 7 point favorites are 13-16-2 the last six weeks. The better teams are struggling to cover the big spreads. This is how I see week 14 playing out. Let’s roll!

Home teams in Bold.
Pittsburgh
-14 vs. Cleveland
Pittsburgh comes off a big emotional win last week vs. Cincinnati and plays just well enough to beat Cleveland this week but they won’t cover this big spread. Take Cleveland +14 pts.

Baltimore -16.5 vs. Indianapolis
The Colts will score a couple of times even against a staunch Baltimore defense. R. Rice ran for 204 yards last week and the Ravens won’t look to wear him out. Take Indianapolis +16.5 pts.

Cincinnati -3 vs. Houston
Houston pretty much has to run the ball and they dare teams to stop it. I envision a close game where either team can win. May as well have the points, take Houston +3 pts. Both defenses should dominate, take the under 37.5 pts.

New York Jets -9 vs. Kansas City
Expect T. Palko to start against a very solid Jets secondary. Take the New York Jets -9 pts.

Detroit -8 vs. Minnesota
A boy named Suh sits out this game. P. Harvin of Minnesota has stepped up the last two weeks and C. Ponder has proven he can move the sticks. The Lions are 2-5 in their last seven games. Take Minnesota +8 pts.

New Orleans -3.5 vs. Tennessee
M. Hasselbeck is less than 100%, D. Brees on the other hand is playing sensational ball with targets running loose everywhere. Take New Orleans -3.5 pts.

Miami -3 vs. Philadelphia
Miami looked surgical in their precision last week vs. Oakland. Philadelphia comes off ten days rest but it appears they’ve thrown in the towel. Take Miami -3 pts.

New England -7.5 vs. Washington
New England gave up 24 points to the Colts last week; expect the Patriot defense to play better this week and cause R. Grossman some problems. Take New England -7.5 pts.

Atlanta -3 vs. Carolina
Cam Newton is an amazing talent! Too bad the Carolina defense stinks. Atlanta will get their offense rolling downhill in this game. Take Atlanta -3 pts. Both these teams can score a lot, take the over 48 pts.

Tampa Bay -1 vs. Jacksonville
Tampa Bay played without quarterback J. Freeman last week, and lost, but I believe he’ll play this week. Jacksonville played without their coach, who was fired and thus won’t be coming back. Take Tampa Bay -1 pt.

Green Bay -11 vs. Oakland
Take note of this fact: I’m 2-10 in games involving Green Bay. They mystify me. You might want to do the opposite of what I recommend regarding this game. I’m taking Oakland +11 pts.

San Francisco -3.5 vs. Arizona
The 49er defense is formidable even without linebacker P. Willis who injured a hamstring. The 49ers have more at stake. Take San Francisco -3.5 pts.

Denver -3.5 vs. Chicago
M. Forte, ‘Mr. Everything’ for Chicago is out, so is J. Cutler. C. Hainie looks horrible at quarterback for Chicago; the Bears are barren. Denver is red hot, winning five of their last six games. Take Denver -3.5 pts. Both of these defenses tend to take charge, so take the under 36 pts.

San Diego -6 vs. Buffalo
Spiller for Buffalo is a very versatile back and will be the difference in this game. Take Buffalo +6 pts. I foresee lots of scoring in this matchup, take the over 47 pts.

Dallas -3 vs. New York Giants
A. Bradshaw gives the Giants a legitimate run game. The winner of this game controls their division. Take the New York Giants +3 pts. The Giants have given up 87 points the last two weeks while scoring 59. Take the over 49 pts.

Seattle -6.5 vs. Saint Louis
The Rams are averaging 10 points a game the last four weeks. Seattle won earlier this year in Saint Louis by 17 points. Expect more of the same. Take Seattle -6.5 pts.
