My Son’s Song
I was serving in the Army down in San Anton’
When my wife told me we were having a son.
How my life changed in just a moment in time
I was so happy I was glad to be alive.
The day he was born was second to none
It felt like I was just baskin’ in the sun.
Being a dad brought me pride and joy
I am so grateful for my baby boy.
So now when I see him
How he has changed so much.
I only hope that through the years
We will keep in touch.
As the years go by I hope he knows
The love I have for him continues to grow.
