I use a Sony Vaio E Series for my daily computer needs. I also use it to earn a little income when I have a break from class. It is the best laptop I have found so far. I will explain why I love this machine so much.
I have had other laptops but they were not very portable. The Vaio is a lightweight machine. Also, it holds up a lot better than most laptops. I have a two year old and as most parents can tell you toddlers are not careful. I did purchase the additional keyboard cover to keep crumbs from getting under the keys.
The Sony Vaio is very user friendly. It includes a full keyboard plus a numeric keypad which is great if you do any kind of accounting or data entry work. One of the greatest things is that it has three USB ports right at the front so you can have your mouse and anything else plugged in that you wanted. If you listen to music then you can easily create play lists and have your music at your fingertips in seconds. If you need to get to the internet quickly to find something, you simply press web located above you keyboard and it pops up. The web cam is easily accessible and works pretty well for being built in. All of the web cam features are easy to get to and very self explanatory.
I have had this computer well over a year and the speed of it has not slowed down at all. That is saying a lot since I basically live on this thing. I have all of my schoolwork, music, and files that I need for work saved on it and still have plenty of space for more. Most of my other computers would be running like a snail if I had tried to store so much data.
The biggest problem I have had with this computer so far is with the headphone and microphone jack. It will not register when something is plugged in. I am not sure if it was broken when I bought it or if my daughter jammed it somehow. Sony did say that they would fix it with no problems but I simply bought a USB headset and it works fine. A smaller problem for me is the mouse. It can be very touchy if it is the slightest bit dirty so you have to be very careful.
All in all, the Vaio is one of the best laptops. It is very affordable and worth every penny. If you use your laptop daily for many different tasks then this is the computer for you.
