I took the smartphone plunge a little more than a year ago when I purchased an Apple iPhone 3GS, and I could not be happier with my decision. It has aided my busy life in more ways than I could have imagined. Here are just a few reasons why I love my iPhone:
Touchscreen: The touchscreen has eliminated all pocket-dial situations, which used to occur quite often. Voicemail: I love that I don’t have to call a number to check voicemail. I can just hit play, and it’s all right there. Plus, there’s a visual display of the messages as opposed to having to listen to them all. Weather: It’s so nice to be able to access up-to-date weather information right on my phone, not only where I live, but also to places where I may be traveling soon, or to places where friends and family are travelling or living. Password Protection: It’s great that I can lock my phone with a password. With two toddlers running around who learned how to slide my phone to open it very quickly, this is vital! (Also nice when nosy mother-in-laws are afoot!) The Silencer: I love the silencer button. It is great to know that all I have to do is press one button to ensure my phone will not vibrate or make any noise, yet I don’t have to completely power off and risk missing calls. Killer Apps: Where do I begin with the apps? From Facebook, to the mirror, to the tip calculator, the list goes on. Handy dandy little tools!
While there are more things that I love about my iPhone, I have to think you may want to quit reading this at some point, so I’ll stop there, but suffice it to say, it’s been a huge boon to my everyday life! I love it!
About the only thing I’m not crazy about on my iPhone is that, while I’ve already stated that I love being able to password protect my phone, it is too easy to make an emergency phone call when trying to get into the phone, so I often worry that my kids have or will accidentally make a fraudulent emergency phone call someday if they haven’t already. So long as that doesn’t happen one day, I’ll continue being absolutely elated with my iPhone!
