Beyonce’ & Jay-Z & Blue Ivy Make 3!!
Megastar Beyonce’ & her husband of years Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s newest collaboration comes in the form of a baby girl. Blue Ivy was born Saturday, January 7 and of course the parents couldn’t be happier. The news became official when the Best Thing I Never Had singer appeared on the red carpet of the 2011 MTV VMAs. After performance of Love on Top at the awards show rumors spread it was a publicity stunt when she was seen on a talk show where it looked as though she had on a pregnancy belly that folded in as she sat down. Apparently this is not the case people because she has a beautiful addition to her family. Jay-Z revealed after the birth of his daughter that Beyonce had a miscarriage prior to this pregnancy; thankfully they didn’t give up on wanting to start a family because they have now been blessed with their little angel. Boyz II Men Immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
On January 5, 2011, Nathan, Shawn, Wanya & Michael joined the ranks of their idols like Michael Jackson and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They were joined by longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and Babyface. Their mentor Michael Bivins was also on hand for the celebrations. A long time coming, the quartet from Philly is very appreciative of this recognition and appreciation from their fans. Nathan told yahoo news recently “When you become artists it’s the furthest thing from your mind…you never think about whatever accolades may come further down the line.” As always they enjoy what they do and are humble about the success they’ve achieved these past 20 years. It was a wonderful sight to see all four members together to share this momentous occasion – Congrats fellas!!!
Brandy’s Got Game
R&B singer/actress Brandy Norwood appeared opposite Coby Bell in the season premier of the BET hit series The Game as a bartender who tells Jason Pitts she’s not impressed by his popularity as a star football player for the San Diego Sabers. The twist is this encounter ends after a drunken night in Mexico where Jason wakes up with a hangover…and a wedding ring!! Brandy ‘s character, Chardonnay, gets Jason to open up and show a sensitive side to him giving a better understanding as to why he is the way he is when it comes to the women he chooses to be with. It looks like Brandy will add some extra attitude to the show and bring a change in the life of Jason Pitts. Check it out on Tuesday nights on BET!
