Do you color your hair? Do you get chemical highlights in your hair? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you may want to know about a shampoo that can help keep the color from fading, meaning fewer trips to the salon and more money in your pocket.

I’ve been using Aveda personal care products for years, and Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo really does what it says, it helps color treated hair last longer. This shampoo can be used on all hair types, from fine to thick, normal to dry. The key ingredients, according to Aveda, are organic b abassu betaine, organic lavender, organic peppermint, organic ylang ylang, and vitamin E which is derived from soy.

The consistency is creamy, although it could be a little thicker when compared to another expensive salon brand shampoo I use. Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo lathers up fast and gives a full head of suds, but it also rinses away easily leaving no soapy residue, only clean and fresh smelling hair. The scent is one of the best features of Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo, it smells amazing. Too bad the scent doesn’t last after all the other styling products have been applied.

I get highlights in my hair twice a year, and it costs me around $65 each time. If there is a shampoo on the market that helps extend my color, I want to know about it! I can recommend Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo, it works. Not only does it help color to last longer, but it makes hair very soft, silky, shiny and manageable! What more could I want from a shampoo?

Because my hair is fine, I don’t generally use a conditioner very often. The nice thing about Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo is the comb outs are so much easier! This shampoo feels like it has conditioning agents in it, yet it does not weigh down fine thin hair.

If you are looking for a high quality shampoo to extend the color of your hair, you might want to ask your stylist about Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo.
