-CHANUKAH

Painted Bride Art Center: Hershel and the-Hanukkah Goblins (Philadelphia)
Great for kids. Goblins are trying to ruin Hanukkah for the villagers. What happens when Hershel shows up with pickles, a dreidel and his wits? You gotta go to find out!!! Starts December 21st and closes Decemeber 31st.

-LIGHT SHOWS

Open Dusk to 9pm each night.
Mon – Thurs $20 carload
Fri – Sun $25 carload

There are also horse drawn hayrides, kettle corn to buy, a gift shop, Santa and more. Be prepared for a wait, especially on a weekend night.I think the adults in the car I was in had more fun than the kids!

Huge trees are lit up and there are “half a million” lights displayed. A beautiful holiday tribute. There is also a poinsettia display and many special performances throughout out the season.

-KWANZAA

AAMP (African American Museum) Kwanzaa Celebration (Philly)
Join the AAMP as they celebrate the holiday of Kwanzaa with family friendly acitvities The celebration is free with museum admission. Last year there was a film and arts and crafts to learn about the holiday.
December 21, 12 – 3pm. Located at 701 Arch Street in Philadelphia.

-PARADES/CHRISTMAS

32nd annual Ship Bottom Christmas-Parade (Southern NJ)
Parade starts at 1pm and the theme is “Storybookland.” Not only will there be the parade but also ornament making, scavenger hunt through town, tree lighting and so much more. If you want to participate in the pardade, let them know ASAP. Parade will take place on Long Beach Blvd.
Ship Bottom is located in Barnegat Light in Ocean County and Long Beach Island.
