*Lalaloopsy Dolls$25; ages 4-8; These dolls come in a variety of different designs, models and characters, and they are already moving quickly off the shelves. One of the hottest toys for the holidays for young girls this season.

*Fijit Friends$35-$50; ages 6-12; There’s a toy like this every holiday season. This year, Fijit Friends will be one of the biggest crazes and hottest toys. Interactive with hundreds of responses and phrases, voice recognition, dance mode, music and more. There are different characters with different personalities, such as Logan, “The Sporty Fijit Friend” or Willa “The Trend-Setting Fijit Friend”.

*Ripstik Caster Board$59-$99; ages 8-15; The Ripstick Caster Board is a futuristic skateboard with just two wheels, allowing you to make 360 degree turns and snowboarding/surfing maneuvers on wheels. Flexible board with foot tracks make it easy to learn and perform tricks. One of the hottest toys of the year for preteen and teenage boys.

*Perplexus Maze Game$17-$25; ages 6-14; This is a challenging and fun 3D marble-puzzle game. Maneuver the marble through the transparent sphere past 100 different barriers and three different races. A few other puzzle games fun for the whole family include the ever-popular Qwirkle, Spot It and the Hedbanz Game.

*Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Starter Set$25-$32; ages 4-8+; This is a very innovative and fun new version of Hot Wheels, which actually mounts onto the wall. This is the starter set, and it can be expanded upon with lots of new tracks and components. The set includes one Hot Wheels car and instructions and how to get started. Another “classic” toy that young boys will like is the Nerf Vortex Vigilon.

*Leapfrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet$99; ages 4-10; This is a popular, personalized learning tablet for children, with more than 100 different games available for purchase. It includes a touch screen, built in camera, educational eBooks and interactive learning games, and more. Keeps your kids engaged and thinking they’re playing video games, while they’re actually studying up! Win-win!

*Razor eSpark Electric Scooter$129-$179; ages 8+; This is an electric scooter from Razor which is loads of fun for kids. It can go 10 miles per hour and be continuously used for up to 40 minutes. For something more affordable and a bit more low key, try the Flybar Foam Master Pogo Stick ($39) or Flybar Maverick Pogo Stick ($29).

*Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light$20-$32; babies-toddlers+; The Cloud b Constellation Night Light is a holdover from last year’s hottest toys list, and it remains a can’t miss item for toddlers and young children. Provides a fun, soothing starry night sky on ceilings and walls, and has an auto shut-off feature. Available in a turtle design, or other options such as a lady bug, and can be accompanied by their plush “Sleep Sheep”.

*Let’s Rock Elmo$50-$69; 18 months-4 years; This year’s Elmo incarnation is the Let’s Rock Elmo, and it will definitely be one of the hottest toys for 2011. He can play multiple instruments, interact with other “Let’s Rock” toys and more.

*Beyblade Metal Masters Triple Battle Set$25-$40; ages 8-13; Up to date reinvention of a battle tops game with customizable arena, two launchers and rip cords, a tournament grid and more. Can use online code to compete with others online. Other “beys” components available for purchase separately.

*Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0$250-$280; ages 10-18; Three interactive motors and sensors along with a microprocessor power this build your own robot kit with over 600 pieces and designs for four different robots. Machine can connect and interact with computers. Other popular Lego sets this year include the Star Wars Millennium Falcon ($125) and Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl ($99).

*Syma R/C Helicopter – $20+; ages 14+; Available at some absurdly low prices this season, this is an extremely fun toy that provides a great value when you get it on sale. Flight range of about 30 feet, with complete directional control. Mini helicopter is about 7.5 inches in length.
