Halloween Decorating: How to Easily Spook Up Your House in No Time

If I was asked to label Halloween with only one word, I would say Halloween means transformation. Cute delightful children are transformed into pirates, fairy princesses, Frankenstein or even a mermaid. Houses are transformed from there normal everyday state to a place of spooky haunts, spider webs, and ghoulish ghosts. Halloween decorating makes this special time of year that much more fun. Just remember scary Jack-o-lanterns are just the beginning, so here are a few cute Halloween decorating ideas to help you out:

Fake Spider Webs – I know fake spider webs sounds a bit boring, but you can spruce them up to give these silky webs some extra sparkle. All you have to do is lay down a couple of newspapers on a table and spread out the spider web into a web shape. Next you spray the whole spider web with spray glue like 3M Super 77 Multipurpose adhesive, and then sprinkle glitter all over the web. Dark blue glitter makes a wonderful dark sparkle just right for Halloween decorating. And lastly, you can glue plastic spiders onto the web with a hot glue gun. Then all you have to do is let your web dry for an hour and hang up in a visible corner or tape right on the wall.

Spooky Signs – Imagine a little tyke walking up to your front door, and he is greeted by a sign on the door saying, “Mummy Central”, or maybe,” Danger, Dracula’s Lair”. You can give Halloween decorating a little boost by making up haunting signs like this all over your house. You can even create signs saying, “Frankenstein Lives Here”, or even, “Experiments in Progress, enter at your own risk”. Kids love that Halloween spooky feeling, so spice up a sign and hang one on your front porch.

Wilted Flowers – What creepy fun to walk into the front door and the first you see is a spooky, wilted flower arrangement. These Halloweeny flowers are easy to manage, just place orange, yellow or brown flowers like chrysanthemums into a glass bowl or vase and let them wilt or dry out.
