Great Clips Daily Leave-in Conditioner: Condition and Keep Hair Healthy with This Product

My hair is fine, thin and damage-prone. I often forget to condition it when I’m in the shower, so a leave-in conditioner is ideal. This can be put on wet or dry hair. It makes no claims to restore damaged hair, but is a serviceable product to use for light conditioning. Using this daily helps to keep my hair from becoming further damaged. It delivers the same results as a conditioner that one would use in the shower. It does not have the capacity to repair damaged hair or cause damaged hair to look like that of a Pantene model. Neither does Pantene, but that’s another story.

This conditioner is much less heavy than other leave-in conditioners I’ve used. Even if you use quite a bit of it, the smell doesn’t stick around. A sad thing if you like the scent, but a good thing for people who don’t like it, or who don’t want their hair to clash with their perfume. It has a warm ginger scent.

It is affordable, at $8.95 a bottle. The packaging is silver with burnt orange lettering. The bottle holds 8 fluid ounces (237 mL) and has a spray pump. The spray pump works well; I’ve had no problems with it clogging or becoming gunky. The product itself is the consistency of milk. If you avoid silicone in your hair products, pass on this – a silicone ingredient is listed second on the ingredients list.

It contains white tea, for shine, and ginger. The ginger is intended to cleanse and add protein. I’m not entirely sure how these two processes occur simultaneously, but that’s what is described in the (tiny) text on the back of the bottle. The ingredients in the conditioner contain vitamins A, C, and B-complex.

I find that it helps keep my hair detangled and reduces flyaways. It adds a small amount of shine, but not as much as a shine product would deliver. I feel that use of this leave-in conditioner may not make an immediate difference in the appearance of my hair, but in general makes my hair less vulnerable to wear and tear.

This can be purchased at any Great Clips salon. if your hair is shoulder-length or longer, your stylist is likely to put it on your hair after your cut. It is a good product for your hair care regimen, especially if used in combination with other (more heavy) conditioners.
