Got Constipation? Try These Foods to Help with That

You would be surprised at how many people deal with constipation on a daily basis. If you are one of these people, don’t get frustrated just yet. I also deal with this problem and have experimented to find help. In my experimenting, I have found that certain foods help me. Constipation can be caused by a number of things like medications, not enough fiber and so on. So, in this guide, I will list some of the foods you will need to incorporate into your diet to help relieve the constipation.

Strawberries

Strawberries are a good source for your diet that will help with constipation. I found by eating just 5 or 6 helped me. You should get the fresh ones, not the frozen ones or the ones in the can.

Blueberries

Blueberries also helped me. I would eat blueberries one day and strawberries the next. That way I wouldn’t get tired of them. So, you can change your diet up like that or however you want to do it. A handful a day is plenty enough.

Collards, Turnips, Spinach

It is important that you have these greens in your diet. They will also help with your constipation. It is a good idea to have these greens at least three times a week. You can have any of the three or if you don’t like a certain green, you can just stick with the one you like.

Prunes

If all else fails, eat prunes! If you find that the above recommendations are not helping, eat some prunes. If you take the prunes route, you should eat two to three a day. Yes, they are not the best tasting thing, but they do help you run to the bathroom and stay regulated.

It is my hope that one of the things in this guide will help you. I am speaking from personal experience in this guide and have been where you are now. The quickest way out of all the foods above is the Prunes. However, the prunes have a bitter after taste and you can surely talk your way out of eating them. You never know, you might like it. So, try the different foods and see what is right for you. Everyone reacts differently.
