Fiction Computer Story

It was a long day at school, and I was at my old, broken locker, gathering my belongings to go home. I put my homework, and my jacket into it’s over-sized pockets, along with a shiny golden pen. I walked down the steps, and ran outside as I turned on my cheap cell phone on. I then realized that my friend had my laptop. I called him with anticipation flowing through my veins. I waited as it rang for what seemed like forever, and then he answered. While running I uttered “How is my laptop?”

He then said “It’s fine, just this screen came up.” He knew nothing about computers, and he explained it in as much detail as humanly possible. “It’s all blue with bright white text.” I almost fell over in fear, worrying that my new Alienware laptop has died. Worrying that I should have known that he would do something to make the blue screen of death appear. I was terrified, and raced to his house as quickly as possible.

I got there at a record time of 12 minutes and 13 seconds. I jumped through his door frame, and ran up the plastic toy infested staircase to his room. He was in the way, and blocking the door. He had a dirty Taco Bell bag, grasped tightly in his chocolate covered hands. Happily he asked “You wanna taco?” Engulfed with rage I pushed him out of the way, and looked at my shiny, new, Alienware laptop. I saw that the screen was blue, and had the horrifying white text on it. I took a step further, almost tripping on another Taco Bell bag, I stared closely at the perfect screen. Then I realized the dreaded fact… Internet Explorer had an update, and needed to restart. I had a sigh of relief, and sat down on the dirty wooden floor; eating my taco waiting for Firefox to Install.
