Fantasy Football Prediction: The Ultimate 2012 Fantasy Football Team

With the 2011 NFL Season more than half way over and my 2011 Fantasy Football Season well over it is time to start looking into the future and thinking about the 2012 season and what the Ultimate Fantasy Football team would look like. I am going to predict a first-team and a second-team for the 2012 Fantasy Football League with the starting positions being Quarterback, Running Back #1, Running Back #2, Wide Receiver #1, Wide Receiver #2, Tight End, Flex (RB/WR/TE), Kicker, and a Team Defense. This team will be chosen for a league that scores passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions, sacks, 40 yard completions, rushing yards, touchdowns, 40 yard rushing attempts, receiving yards, touchdowns, 40 yard receptions, return touchdowns, fumbles lost, field goals made, field goals missed, PAT’s, defensive points allowed, sacks, safeties, interceptions, fumble recoveries, defensive touchdowns, Block kicks, and defensive touchdowns. Based on these statistical scoring categories and positions, I will provide you with The Ultimate 2012 Fantasy Football 1st and 2nd Teams as well as several players to keep an eye on.

FIRST TEAM

QB-Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers)-Expect A-Rod to continue dominating the NFL in 2012 and even with a healthy Peyton Manning he should be the first picked quarterback in every Fantasy Football League.

RB1-Arian Foster (Houston Texans)-Foster is an absolute stud! Foster is going to get it done both on the ground and in the air. Considering he stays healthy throughout the entire 2012 Season he could win your fantasy team many weekly matchups by himself! Take Foster with your #1 OVERALL pick in 2012!

RB2-Darren McFadden (Oakland Raiders)-McFadden is going to be the Raiders #1 offensive option for many years to come. It can be argued that he may be better than Arian Foster, but you can’t go wrong with either one! If Foster is gone do not select any other running back over McFadden!

WR1-Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions)-Taking Megatron is a no brainer for any fantasy football owner with any common sense!

WR2-Mike Wallace (Pittsburgh Steelers)-The only reason to take Wallace over Andre Johnson is because he is the #1 offense playmaker on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnson is a great option and it could easily be argued that he is the second best wideout in the league, but with Arian Foster on his team I suggest going with BIG PLAY Mike Wallace.

TE-Jimmy Graham (New Orleans Saints)-If any fantasy football owner takes any tight end over Jimmy Graham they should not be playing fantasy football! Hands down the best TE option in the NFL!

FLEX- Matt Forte (Chicago Bears)-Don’t worry about Forte being victim to the Chris Johnson Contract Collapse, he is not the same type of person as CJ2K as he cares about the game of football and his team way too much to let that happen to him. Forte is going to continue to carry the Bears while accounting for 50% of their team offense in 2012.

K-Mason Crosby (Green Bay Packers)-The Packers will always put up points and Crosby will always be a top point scorer.

DEF-Chicago Bears-Dominate! Do not select another defense if the Bears are still available!

Second Team

QB-Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers)
RB1-LeSean McCoy
RB2-Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings)
WR1-Andre Johnson (Houston Texans)
WR2-Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals)
TE-Rob Gronkowski (New England Patriots)
Flex-Ray Rice (Baltimore Ravens)
K-Sebastian Janikowski (Oakland Raiders)
DEF-San Francisco

Players to Watch: Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Michael Vick, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Robert Griffin III, Wes Welker, A.J. Green, Steve Smith, Greg Jennings, Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall, Jonathan Baldwin, Antonio Brown, Justin Blackmon, Alshon Jeffery, Fred Jackson, Maurice Jones-Drew, Frank Gore, Ryan Mathews, Michael Turner, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson, LeGarrette Blount, Trent Richardson, LaMichael James, Jermichael Finley, Vernon Davis, Owen Daniels, Dallas Clark, Aaron Hernandez, Fred Davis, Jake Ballard

These teams obviously are very unrealistic, but if you are drafting and have a chance to draft any of these players do not pass it up! Guys like Aaron Rodgers, Arian Foster, Calvin Johnson, and Jimmy Graham are rare therefore if at all possible get them ASAP! It can be extremely beneficial to have a guy like Jimmy Graham who can put up wide receiver numbers from the tight end position! I hope these fantasy football team predictions help you out when you are drafting your 2012 championship fantasy football team!
