Exercise While You Clean

You can stay in shape and never leave your house. You can also have a spotless house and accomplish a round of exercise at the same time.

Set The Stage

Put on your favorite music and loud enough to hear throughout the house. Get into comfy and loose clothes. Gather up your cleaning supplies, rags and everything you will need to completely clean the house.

Bathrooms

Start with the tub or shower. Get down on your knees and bend over and use long strokes to clean the shower or tub. Contract your tummy muscles while bending over. Stretch your arms over your head when you are finished. Clean the sinks and toilets with exaggerated motion. Get down on the floor and hit the baseboards and floor. Do some knee bends while going up and down cleaning.

Kitchen

Spray on your cleaning solution and clean all the counter tops with sweeping and exaggerated motion with both arms. While listening to the music, dance around as you clean and feel the rhythm of the song. Mop the kitchen floors and move quickly while mopping and add some dance steps. May as well have some fun.

Vacuum
Move quickly while vacuuming and dance to the music. If you are moving furniture make sure to bend your knees to keep your back safe. Do not hyper-extend your body while vacuuming. When vacuuming furniture carefully bend your legs when getting into the corners of sofas and chairs.

Laundry:
Put your laundry on the floor and bend down and pick up each piece of clothing individually, and put it on a flat surface to fold.

Polish Furniture
Spray on the furniture polish and again use both arms with two rags and exaggerated motion. Bend down with your knees to get the lower part of furniture.

Finish off by dancing through each room and admiring your handy work. Do some stretches and knee bends. Its time for a break, so sit down and relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
