Dr.’s Best Celadrin for Joint Pain and Costochondritis

Costochondritis is a condition I had never heard of until a few years ago, but I have become very familiar with it since that time. I thought I was having a heart attack, the pain in my chest wouldn’t go away! Two doctors diagnosed me with costochondritis, which for me was an inflammation of my breastbone (sternum), which was extremely painful.

One doctor told me to take aspirin every day and to limit my daily activities, going so far as to tell me I should not even sweep my floor. I heeded that advice for several months, but decided I wanted to get back to living!

I started to research different supplements that might ease my pain and lessen the inflammation, and the first supplement I tried contained glucosamine chondroitin. Friends swore by this supplement, telling me how well it worked for them, but after a few months I still had pain. For me, my costochondritis turned into a chronic condition that would not go away.

One day I discovered a supplement called Celadrin and decided to give it a try. I really liked the Dr.’s Best MSM, so I purchased the Dr.’s Best Celadrin, which claimed to “Support joint function and mobility”. The bottle contains 90 capsules, each with a strenth of 500 mg of Celadrin. The actual ingredients are Celadrin (a proprietary blend of esterified fatty acid carbons (EFAC) of myristate, myristolcate, laurate, oleate, palmitate, and palmitoleate with tapioca).

The directions say to take one capsule three times a day, and they do not have to be taken with food. I remembered to take my capsules better if I took them at each meal. For me there was no stomach upset whatsoever. The capsules are easy to swallow, and I don’t particularly like swallowing pills.

I certainly didn’t expect an over night cure of my costochondritis, but after a month my chest pain was greatly dimished and I felt almost human again. What a relief it was to have found a product that actually lessened my pain because I wasn’t thrilled about the prospect of taking aspirin every day. The aspirin did work somewhat, but it also thins the blood. I really prefer taking a more natural supplement such as Celadrin, which worked wonders for the pain and inflammation of my costochondritis.
