Crochet Headband and Neck Warmer Instructions

There are many individuals who do not like wearing stocking hats. The tightness of the hat squishes the hair and flattens many hair styles. An alternative to a stocking hat is a wide headband that covers the forehead and ears. An interesting alternative to wearing the headband around the head is wearing it as a loose-fitting scarf. Buttons hold the band in place on one of two buttons for easy adjustment. This allows the band to be hooked around the neck to create a loose fitting scarf in two different lengths.

Crochet a 6-inch wide head band or neck warmer 20-inches long using one skein of 4-ply worsted weight yarn and a size H/8 5mm crochet hook. The process will take approximately three hours to complete. Add a flower to the front of the headband if desired.

Sew a second button above the first so there is approximately a one half inch gap.
