Cheap and Quick Food in Disneyland

For many visitors, a day in Disneyland might not come around as often as they wish. For those of you who are trying to get in as many rides as possible, here are some quick and easy eating ideas!

Tiki Room snacking
The Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland is sponsored by Dole, and features one of the park’s most beloved treats, the soft-serve and pineapple juice concoction they call the “Dole Whip Float.” It is a great snack on a hot day, and you can enjoy it in the waiting area for the Tiki Room and take it into the show if you haven’t finished it beforehand.

Coca Cola Refreshment Corner
Located near the end of Main Street, this little corner shop is a great place to grab a quick bite (hot dogs, soft pretzels, chili) and find a table to sit in and get your bearings. The shop is relatively near the center of the park, and is quite close to the board where they list ride line wait times, so it is a great spot to check out the map and see where your group should head next.

Bengal Barbeque
This counter service shop features a variety of skewers that are easy to eat in line or at some of the tables nearby. It is a good option for meat-eaters (beef and chicken skewers) and vegetarians (vegetable skewers, breadsticks, and fruit cups).

Parade and firework munchies
One great way to save time is to eat while watching parades or nighttime shows at Disneyland. I recommend having one member of your party reserve a seating spot (a bench or curb during the parades and fireworks, and perhaps a table by the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland during Fantasmic), while another member picks up food from a stand or counter service restaurant nearby.

Snacks from home
Disneyland allows outside food to be brought in, so bringing along snacks can be a great way to save money and time. I’ve found that bags of chips, fruit, cookies, nuts, trail mix, and bottles of water are great items to bring along on any Disney day!

Downtown Disney
If you are going back to the Disneyland Hotel or to a car parked in the Downtown Disney lot during your day, planning a meal in Downtown Disney can give you additional quick-dining options. Tortilla Jo’s and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen both offer counter service dining that usually have much shorter lines than similar alternatives inside Disneyland. Also, you could grab a smoothie at Jamba Juice, or cool down with some Haagen-Dazs ice cream.

Eat in line

There are a lot of carts around Disneyland that sell a variety of food – popcorn, turkey legs, corn dogs, pretzels, fruit, pickles, and more. Strategically pick up a snack before you head into a significant line to multitask and save time!
