Changing a Health Habit

Changing a Health Habit – Deciding to Change (My stress level)

NOTE: This is a project (the 2 nd one) I did for a Health “Telecourse” I took over the summer. Keep in mind I never met the instructor for this course, it was all done on the internet , video screen and by mail , so I only had her printed syllabus, and the course materials, to alert me to her ideological leanings. Oh yeah, big – time lib. I’m unable to show you the first project ’cause it was all done on forms, from the text book (a $110 waste-of-perfectly-good-paper testament to runaway liberalism, by the w ay), but I was just as irreverent – and just as thorough and precise – in my responses in that first project as I was with this one. It follows a prescribed format, as outlined in the text book, hence the formal presentation. I personally think it’s hilarious, but I’m easily amused, especially by me.

Identify problem and goal:
Problem : I am continuously frustrated by the rampant and destructive liberalism that pervades the education system (specifically here at L ane C ommunity C ollege ), causing essentially the only notable stress in my life.
Goal: Reduce stress by objecting to and combating liberal manifestations in all of my classes, henceforth.

Implementing the Change
Target date to begin the new behavior : 10 July 2011
Identify the various factors involved :
Factors that help :
I have the ability to recognize liberal dogma and methodology
I am willing to illuminate and address such dogma and methodology
I always do the right thing
I am never shy
I always tell the material truth
(NOTE: These last three reference the first project in the class, where one of the surveys in the text book rated an affirmative response to any of them as an indication of untruthfulne ss or self-delusion on the part of the survey subject. You can bet I let the instructor have it with both barrels about that!)
Factors that hinder :
None are apparent

Action plan :
Identifying alternatives:
Alternative #1 – Speak out boldly.
Alternative #2 – Boycott LCC and trash my own education.
Alternative #3 – Pay a bunch of bums to march around with me in front of the college, carrying signs that read: “LCC Unfair to Conservatives” and “Liberalism Is Not Enlightenment!”, chanting mindless slogans like: “Not Just No But Hell No; Liberalism’s Got To Go!” and “Hey, Hey LCC, Stop Being a Liberal CC!”
Alternative #4 – Pay that same bunch of bums to join me in a sit-in and take over the College President’s office until our demands are met.

Gather information for each alternative and choose alternative:
Little gathering is truly necessary; the only viable course of action – from a practical and legal standpoint – is quite obviously Alternative #1: Speak out boldly.

Consider factors regarding change:
Since I possess both the willingness and ability – along with the necessary attributes – to pursue my goal, to do anything less would be foolish and cowardly. I shall eagerly press on.

Chart daily progress:
As the method of change in this case is actually more an adoption of a course of action rather than the cessation or modification of a specific behavior, per se, a chronology of events (or occasions of activity) will not be able to accurately represent the effort to e ffect said change; instead, I lay out below (in only loose chronological blocks) the process I employ to garner results in my stress-relieving regimen.

10 July 2011 through 16 July 2011: In the course of completing Project #1 in this class (“Investigating My Health”) I pointed out several instances of liberal pollution of the subject matter contained in the textbook, Essential Concepts for Healthy Living . See that project for the specific instances cited, if you so desire.

17 July 2011 through 11 August 2011: Addressing now the (second round of) video “TELE-LESSONS” the course requirements dictate I view, I as well found several instances of blatant liberal contamination, particularly in the form of omissions of critical information and facts that were integrally germane to the subjects being covered. I likewise point these out, as follows:

Premiere among these was the C enter for D isease C ontrol ‘s claim to have eradicated malaria and yellow fever in the southern United States by virtue of their collaborative and concentrated scientific and medical efforts. This is (fully) half a lie, by glaring omission. Those diseases were eradicated by the CDC’s widespread, appropriate use of DDT to control the population of mosquitoes that spread those illnesses. Without the use of DDT, the CDC’s other efforts would have been grossly ineffective.

This is a fact that should be included in the “lesson,” but is not because liberals were successful in prosecuting the ban on this most beneficial and effective insecticide and are, as a consequence, now responsible for the deaths and misery of hundreds of millions of people throughout the world who suffer(ed) the ravages of the diseases once again spread by these (now quite ineffectively controlled, as a direct result of that liberal interference) blood-sucking death merchants. Predictably, they’ll not bring this undeniable, despicable truth to students’ attention.

Another conspicuous omission is the assignment of cause in the recent rise in the instances of TB, measles, polio and other chronic diseases in the US. This rise can be directly attributed to the influx of illegal aliens that are welcomed, celebrated, supported and protected by the liberal establishment. Not a single word about these disease-ridden criminal invaders was mentioned in the “lesson,” which only said that the cause of the increase of these (once rare) occurrences was: “Various factors.”

Another liberal lie. There is but a single, specific, instantly identifiable factor, and that is intentionally uncontrolled illegal immigration . Period. Why should this truth not be taught?

Less blatant, but perhaps even more insidious, is the concept so earnestly put forth in the video that we have serious, pressing issues with the quality of our water here in America because some stone-age Third World village out in the middle of some God-forsaken dessert has parasitic worms in its only water supply. What could that possibly have to do with our abundant, safe, clean and closely monitored water resources? It is such wantonly liberal “Interconnected-One-World” shoe-sticking dreck that I’m actually ashamed to be forced to address it.

Additionally, that the entire universe now needs to be on guard against the evil Home Pest Control companies because one applicator (who, by the way, was subsequently caught and prosecuted), once used Methyl Parathion illegally, in a few homes, in one city, is a concept that only a brain-dead liberal could conjure-up.

But, far and away, the quintessential example of rank liberal pollution in this course is this project, “Changing a Health Habit.”

By virtue of what usurped right, or application of which entirely imagined power, does the architect of this course believe s/he (they?) can dictate that another American citizen must actually change a wholly lawful behavior to be in compliance with the mandatory course requirements? You (they’ve) got to be kidding!

And to characterize such unconscionable trespass on my personal rights and freedoms as an ” opportunity for [me] to improve [my] health by making a lifestyle change” is unfettered liberal hubris run schizophrenically amok! NEWS FLASH : “Mandatory” is not “Opportunity”!!! Not in America, anyway. Try China. Whoever designed this course needs to read the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights (and for the very first time, I’d venture). Or better yet, they should have it read to them … in their own language; it’s crystal-clear they don’t even come close to understanding American.

Evaluate effectiveness:
I feel much better now, actually. I think it might be working. Thanks for the “opportunity.”

NOTE: I was awarded a score of 100% on both of these projects because – the tone and treatment of the offensive (to me) subject matter aside – I was 100% compliant with the assignments, and I left the instructor no ‘wiggle room” to mark me down for my views. Had she done so, in spite of my total compliance, the “fit would’a hit the Shan,” and she obviously picked up on that by noting the aforementioned tone of the work. Good for her. Maybe she learned something this summer, too. One can only hope.
