I understand that not everyone shares in my faith, but for those who do, let us remember why we celebrate.
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year
When we all love to spread that Christmas cheer.
But amidst all of the presents, parties, and holiday favor,
It is about the birth of Christ, our Lord and our Savior.
To save the world from the ramifications of sin,
God came down from Heaven so Victory we can win.
As a baby, Jesus came down from Heaven above,
All man and all God, to show the world His love.
Joseph and Mary came to the inn as strangers,
Gave birth to the Lord, and laid Him in a manger.
The Wise Men came by following the star
And many others came to worship from both near and far.
So enjoy the celebrations that come with the Christmas season,
But remember why we celebrate, for there is only one reason.
The Baby Jesus whom so many loved and adored.
“For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Savior,
Which is Christ the Lord.”
