So lets get started with the band Interview of The Glimps:

1. If you would have to describe the band in three words what would they be? and why? Pop, fun, easy. Why? Because we love pop music, we are enjoying life, having fun and we want to create music for everybody.

2. What are some of your goals for this year with the band? Well, we’ve been working for two years to finish our album and to put together some of our ideas, feelings, influences and synthesize them in our tracks, it’s been very exiting working on them but now, what is also exiting (and a little bit stressing in the meantime!!) is to present our music to the world! We are not the ones who create music only for ourselves. Music is made to be shared. Seeing people dancing, smiling, singing and having a good time on our music is an amazing feeling and it will definitely be an award in itself. Our aim is to find a label or a major company who trust in us to take us to the next level.

3. Tell us a quick story of something your band would be part of? Something funny? Exciting? anything Together singing: “I am too sexy for my shirt….too sexy, sexy….”

4. What makes your band come on top compared to others? Wow! we don’t have the pretension to think that our band could come on top compared to others. Every band have its own way to create, they have their own sensitivity, influences, their own truth… so even when you have the same style than another group, you will always have your own way to express yourself into your music. We are not better than any other band; we are just different. And when you listen to our music with attention, you will hear this difference that makes us special. This difference is important and will bring us, hopefully… to the top! Obviously, we have our own way of creating, but what we do is expressing ourselves with passion, honesty, integrity, love and respect for all kinds of music and trying to put together the best we can to have the best tracks out… we try to bring the best and the most funky sound to people… the sound we love.

5. What type of sound are you guys going for? Electro funk with a pop touch for the debut album.

6. How did your band start? Is there a story to it explain? Victor Valdez: I met Chris in 2009 on Myspace. At this time, with my previous partner (Max) we were looking for a singer for the songs: “Save me, Please and Eery music” because we wanted to register those. We liked his voice, his energy and we felt that he would fit into the band. We started working together, recording the songs. Then we created others with Chris. For personal reasons, Max decided to quit the band in 2010 but we are still in contact with him. Chris and I have the same passion, the same love for the music and we deeply believe that one day, The Glimps will be the band famous for its joyful and positive music.

7. What do you guys do before a show? Any traditions? Christophe Paris: I don’t have particular traditions before a show except preparing my voice and my physical condition, I do a little prayer though, wishing that we’ll do a good show and that the audience will have a good time. We are concentrate to give the best show! Victor Valdez: I clean my Nooka glasses and put them on!

8. Do you all listen to the same type of music? Christophe Paris: Victor and I have the same passion for funky music and disco and that’s what first brought the chemistry between us. I also like r&b, New Jack, Classical music… Victor Valdez: We listen to all kind of music; Disco, New age all type of electronic music, I especially like funky music.
