Salads make great meals when the whether is warm. These salads are simple to make and they can be made using local ingredients which will save you money and benefit your community. Salad isn’t just an appetizer to a meal. These great salads are hearty enough to stand on their own as a main course. Black Bean and Corn Salad.
Black beans. Corn. Cooked jasmine rice. Diced red and green bell pepper. Garlic. Lime zest and juice. a dash of chili powder. A drizzle of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. For extra crunch and texture.sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs straight from the cannister.

Cantaloupe. Granny smith apple. Lemon juice. Salt. Shredded cheddar cheese.
