When Does Daylight Saving Time Begin in 2012?

Spring is on it’s way and with it’s arrival comes many changes. The weather turns warmer. The flowers begin to bloom. The animals come out of hibernation. Birds begin singing more joyfully. All of these things are wonderful. In most of the United States, we return to Daylight Saving Time towards the spring. When does this happen in 2012? I am here to tell you all about that.

Daylight Saving Time in 2012 begins on March 11 th . While this day is actually on a Sunday, when you go to sleep Saturday night, set your clock ahead one hour. You will wake up on Sunday, March 11, 2012 right on time and in synch with the spring forward time change. Yes, you will lose a much needed hour of sleep. The plus side of that is that you will have more daylight time in the evening. So those that work most of the day can benefit greatly from this change. Those that work at night may not like this change very much.

It usually takes me a few weeks to adjust to the change. I usually work at night so body resists the lost hour. Most of my friends and relatives prefer being on Daylight Savings Time. All of us must adjust to it, that is a fact. The worst thing about the time change is forgetting about it. That is why I have written this article. So you will be prepared, in the know and up to date. Nothing worse than being late for work on a Monday. Unless you would like a reasonable excuse for being late on a Monday. Well, here is your chance! Just kidding.

When is the time change for the beginning of Daylight Saving Time in 2012? We spring forward one hour on March 11 th . It is wise to set your clocks ahead on March 10 th , when you go to bed. You have been warned and don’t forget. Explaining the time change to children is advised and you may have some family pets that become confused with the scheduling changes. Be aware.
