Moisture is now absent in our daily air,
Since lack rain is now our daily affair.
Many children clamor for snow to come
So they can play outside of their homes.
God is making us wait for rain to come here.
Northern states are not without rain.
Us Southerners sure do complain.
We provide most of the food
For this great nation’s brood.
So we must pray for water to gain.
Meanwhile, our government holds out,
And will not allow us to to make an ocean spout.
We could refine that salty water,
And bring it inland to plantation alters.
Surely God does not want us to do without.
