Imagine going on a dream vacation with your family only to be terrified by unforeseen events. Families across the world go on vacations everyday. Most of those vacations go off without a hitch but a handful turn horribly wrong.
As a four year old boy my family and I went on a trip to Hawaii. What a great vacation for a young kid. Crystal clear ocean, white sandy beaches, and sunny blue skies welcomed us as we arrived at our hotel. All I wanted was to play at the beach with some of my favorite toys that my parents let me bring along. With a little persuasion we headed down to the beach for some relaxation and play time.
Our Hawaii vacation was on its way to a great start until my family decided to grab a bite to eat. In all the excitement from playing with my Tonka Trucks on the beach I tagged along with my parents to get some food and left my toys on the beach.
Upon our return to our spot on the beach I started to panic as I couldn’t find my bright yellow Tonka Trucks anywhere in sight. The horror sunk in that my prized toys were gone and I started to cry hysterically as I explained to my parents that my toys were gone.
We searched the area where I was playing only to realize that my toys appeared to be gone forever. We never found out if the toys were stolen or simply washed away into the ocean. The terrifying experience of losing those toys ruined the rest of the vacation for me and to this day I still remember that horrifying experience of the missing Tonka Trucks in Hawaii.
