Summer Love in the Autumn of My Life

Long shadows down the hall,

At the end of summer,

Beginning of my autumn fall.

When I go away?

What would still remain of me?

The ghost within your eyes!

The whisper in your sighs!

No words need be spoken between us,

No promises to be kept,

Longing to hold you,

Such precious little time,

Consumed in desire for you,

That’s my only crime?

A touch; soft and tender,

A whisper full of desire,

a gasp of sweet surrender,

as passion fuels the fire.
