Rick Perry and the Texas Myth

On Saturday August 13, 2011, Texas republican Rick Perry officially announced his bid for the White House in South Carolina, not his “successful” and “model” economy State as one would have expected. I am a non-partisan Texan and have never been fond of Perry or his predecessor W. Bush (and with good reasons).

On Saturday, August 6, 2011, Rick Perry came to Astrodome Reliant in the name of God and religion to solicit support from gullible religious folks to set the stage for his 2012 presidential ambition. I am familiar with the trend of thoughts of secessionist Rick Perry and abhor political conservatives noted for barbarism who use religion to sell their ideas.

I am a conservative Christian and have no problem with people declaring their faith. But as I came to understand the ideas and goal of political conservatives (most of whom would like to portray their political parties as godly), I found that these political conservatives are anything but godly:

Political conservatives over time have always been very barbaric and very disdainful of the views of people not of their political crowd. I do not associate such a mindset with godliness and thus resent seeing barbarians hiding behind religion to deceive the unsuspecting in order to fulfill their whims.

If Rick Perry were to somehow make it to the White House, then all Perry will take along will be skills on “how to manage budget by keeping borders open for cheap labor” and “how to solve financial crisis of a State with disaster aid.” And currently, engineered disasters are practical with technological advances.

How can Texas boost of creating more jobs when the alleged 37% minimum waged jobs created in Texas under Perry are technically outsourced internally to the undocumented and the alleged 63% well paying jobs created are blood sacrifices – jobs generated by wars for Lockheed Martin and Halliburton, Texas companies specializing in wars and war equipments?

About Jobs Created in Texas:

1). The minimum waged jobs created in Texas are multiplied substitutes for well paying jobs, and these jobs are mostly contracted to companies specializing in cheap labor; and

2). The 63% above minimum waged jobs created are jobs that multiple US-led wars have created for Texas-based war experts Halliburton and Lockheed Martin.

Therefore, the 37% minimum waged jobs created are jobs taken from professionals and broken down in quest for cheap labor, and the 63% high-end jobs created are jobs created for Texas by the Fed.

Somewhere I challenged anyone daring to make a rebuttal of my assertions to investigate those Texas companies boosting of employment growth and see just who are employed.

Throughout Texas, schools have discontinued food assistance to needy schoolchildren, low-end civil servants are receiving less pay, veterans are receiving less benefits and government facilities have cut down operating hours or closed their doors. The Texas WorkForce Solution is loaded with tired job seekers, the Social Security offices are full of folks seeking available benefits and Houston-area shelters are filled with able-bodied families who cannot find work (and interestingly, Caucasians are becoming the majority in shelters).

Why did the media not pound on Texas when it almost went bankrupt and desperate Rick Perry not only sued the Fed for failing to reach out to Texas, but used the Governator’s fire strategy to solicit disaster aid from the Fed? Why is Texas, still struggling financially, barely criticized?

Because Texas is hailed as the economic capital of the US and admitting the plain truth about Texas’ financial crisis would be a national blow and a disturbance of our comfort zone: Texas is hailed as a pro-business State, a low-tax State and a State with low spending strategy. Admitting an unhealthy financial Texas would be similar to showing pictures of an African nation with well-dressed people walking and driving on paved roads and no Tarzan swinging on trees in the background. These are things that we are not programmed to expect.

Facts are: It is not well in Texas, and the best ideas on managing the financial crisis in Texas came from Texas representative Kirk Watson. Texas is only better than some States because Texas has a friendly climate that attracts international venture capitalists. Texas creates jobs by bidding better as alleged because Texas bids in pennies. Texas only appears to be fairing better than other States because of its custom of seeking and receiving aid from the Fed and because of cheap labor by the undocumented (a reason there will be no fences South of Texas).
