Popular Mattress Review Site Compares Common Coil Mattress Complaints

One of the top sites for mattress reviews, qMattresses.com, recently placed some of the top coil mattresses and their complaints head to head. The objective? To help consumers, just like you, make an educated buying decision.

The coil mattress complaints were tracked for 45 days and were pulled from sites all over the internet. The data was then compiled by the experts and put into graph format. Each mattress was rated on comfort, overall quality and sagging. The data was then analyzed to determine the winners and losers of the mattress complaint wars.

Premature sagging is a common issue with many coil mattresses. This is because, over time, the coils are no longer able to return to their normal state. Because each mattress brand uses different materials and technology, there was a lot of variation in how each mattress brand performed in the premature sagging arena.

The worst? Spring Air and Serta performed the worst in the premature sagging arena. The winner with very few complaints was Trump Home Luxury mattresses. Simmons mattresses also scored very few complaints in premature sagging complaints.

Quality is a pretty relative term when it comes to coil mattress complaints. Quality is perceived by the buyer and some buyers have higher expectations than others. Still, this was a factor used in the qMattresses.com analysis because it really is important.

The worst quality mattresses, according to the data, were King Koil, then Kingsdown, Simmons and Spring Air. The least number of complaints were received by Jamison mattresses, Sealy mattresses, Stearns & Foster mattresses and Trump Home mattresses.

Comfort/aches/pains – for most buyers, this may be the most important factor of all. Most consumers decide to buy a new mattress because their old one is failing to meet their comfort needs.

So who scored the highest in mattress comfort complaints? Kingsdown were, by far, the worst. Following in second and third were Vera Wang mattresses and Serta mattresses. And the least number of comfort complaints? It was a tie between Chattam & Wells and Trump Home Luxury mattresses. King Koil and Sealy came in second and third.

So there you have it, the winners and the losers of the mattress complaint wars. Just a word of caution though; the site owners stressed that a lack of complaints does not necessarily mean that a mattress is right for you. They recommend you check out mattress ratings, mattress reviews and mattress warranty information to further evaluate your top coil mattress choice before buying.
