New Year’s Eve in Atlanta

Peach Drop happens at underground Atlanta and is a full day of family fun. A non-alcoholic way of ringing in the New Year. The 800 lb peach begins its decent as the clock strikes midnight. This year the legendary rock band Kansas will perform on stage in downtown.

East Andrew’s hosts its ninth annual New Year’s Eve Party in 30,000 square ft of space and 10 bars participating. The 80’s party band The Breakfast Club will be playing and reservations are required for dinner. Various packages are available so call today to make your plans in Buckhead.

How about ringing in New Years Eve laughing at the Vortex Comedy Club called the Laughing Skull Lounge. First you get to consume the best burger in Atlanta, have a few drinks then laugh till after midnight. Now this is not a bad proposition.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra rings in a joyful new year. Tickets are $30-$68. Performances start at 8:00p.m. on December 31st at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Michael Krajewski rings in your New Year as only he can, with sparkling music evoking the first couple of song and dance, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. London and Broadway stage stars Joan Hess and Kirby Ward rekindle the golden era of top hats, tuxes, and shimmering gowns as they frolic to big band classics by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern.

How about ice skating in the lap of luxury? The St.Regis Hotel in Atlanta has opened a holiday ice rink on the 7th floor of the luxury hotel. It is called the Astor Rink. Under the warm glow of twinkling lights, glide around the exquisite ice rink to sounds of holiday melodies and enjoy seasonal favorites including hot cocoa and s’mores.
