Man Cave Screw Bowl

You know that most guys must get a little tired of all the frills in their lives. Since they’ve been born they’ve lived with wispy curtains, frilly bed things, ruffled throw pillows, and other girly things. That’s why fixing up a man cave is so important to some guys. Whether they have a place out in the garage, or a room in the basement, many guys enjoy decorating their personal spaces with beer logos, pictures of cars and women, and other manly things. Many guys would say they don’t do arts and crafts but, for a man cave, some might – especially if they know they can easily make something like a screw bowl. Made entirely of screws, the unusual bowl is perfect for a guy’s space.

It’s a bit time-consuming to make the screw bowl but it’s also very easy. First, select a bowl as the mold for the project. The mold bowl will not get ruined so feel free to use any bowl you have. Turn the bowl upside-down and cover it completely with foil.

It’s going to take quite a few screws to make a bowl; the exact amount will depend on the bowl you’ve chosen. The best screws are ones that are three inches long, or longer; they don’t all have to be the same size. Tiny screws will take many hours to turn into a bowl. Lay the first screw on the bottom of the bowl (which is now the top) then glue another screw to it. Use Gorilla Super Glue, or another type, to attach the two screws. Put a dab of the glue on one area of the second screw, and lay that area on the first screw. Put a little glue on a third screw, and position that glue on one of the two screws on the bowl. Continue doing this, laying the screws in no particular order, until the bottom of the bowl is basically covered (there will be openings between the screws but these openings should not be huge). The screws should be turned every which a way.

When the bottom of the bowl is complete you can begin attaching screws so that they start to cover the sides of the bowl. Continue doing that until you’ve created the sides.

If you want to add other elements to the bowl, go ahead. You can glue on nuts, tiny clamps, or other metallic items. When the bowl looks like you want it to, just take it off of the original bowl. Set the new screw bowl anywhere you want and enjoy it for years.
