In-Depth Review:

Lenovo has a made a name for themselves by creating business notebooks and desktop PCs that raise the bar for business computing. Originally known as the IBM Thinkpad the Lenovo ThinkPad has gone through a lot of changes and revisions over the years, but it always maintained its professional looking design and sturdy build quality that set it apart from other business notebook computers.

The first thing that sets the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 apart is the sleek black design, there is nothing toy like about this notebook, instead it has an all black corporate design, with a flush track pad design, and a well designed keyboard. I really like the sleek design of the ThinkPad X220; it combines a sleek design with a sturdy feel.

I was immediately impressed with the powerful processor, the Core i5 2.3 GHz really makes doing things easy. Whether you are doing graphic design, or just surfing Facebook, this processor really operates smoothly. I also experienced great performance while using Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Dream Weaver CS5 simultaneously, both of which are demanding applications.

I was also impressed with the 4GB of DDR3 memory, which is more then enough to operate all of the latest applications including the Auto Cad software. With this much memory naturally the video card is important, and the ThinkPad X220 is not lacking in this department. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 is ready to handle anything, even the newest PC games, with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The built-in hard drive is 320GB and has a 7200 RPM rotation speed, with all of this space there is plenty of room for music, documents, and applications. The HD 720p webcam has excellent video quality during video conferencing sessions, and it works great indoors and outdoors. There is not an internal optical drive because this notebook is so small, but there is a 4-in-1 media card reader. The screen is also quite small in size at only 12.5 inches, but thanks to the excellent resolution this is not a problem, and the LCD screen is also non-glare so you can enjoy this notebook outdoors as well.

I like the Lenovo ThinkPad X220; this is a lightweight business minded notebook computer, with plenty of storage space, memory, and features to make your mobile life go smoothly. The price is just right for this notebook, and you get the reliability of Lenovo behind it. I recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Notebook.
