Is the Masked Kane from the Attitude Era Better Than the PG Era Masked Kane?

Kane returned from his injury on December 12, 2011 and returned with his mask for the first time since 2003. Kane made an immediate impact by giving John Cena a brutal chokeslam on his first night back. Since then, Kane has continued to feud with Cena and has decimated Zack Ryder. Despite his constant acts of violence, how does this current Kane compare to the Attitude Era Kane?

This PG era Kane does a lot of talking, maybe too much in my opinion. Despite the fact that WWE has him looking strong, he talks way too much. His constant “embrace the hate” promos seem so cheesy. Kane’s feud with John Cena is very similar to a superhero story out of a comic book.

The Attitude Era Kane did very little talking and is one of the most popular superstars of all time. Also, Kane will go down as of one the most impressive heels in wrestling. It isn’t because he was charismatic; it is because he destroyed everything in his path. His destructive actions literally spoke for him and he didn’t have to cut long promos to get over as a heel.

Some may say that I’m holding onto nostalgia concerning Kane, but think about it. This current Kane in the PG Era is great because he is destructive, but his lengthy promos bring his stock to me. It isn’t Kane’s fault; there is so only so much that he can do in these storylines. Without question, Kane in the Attitude Era is much better than this current version in the PG Era.
