Inexpensive Christmas Wreath

A decorated wreath on the front door at Christmas time bids a welcome to all that enter. Department store wreaths can cost upwards from $40.00 and in today’s economy that is a lot of money. Here is a beautiful wreath with mini white lights and gold colored decorations for $6.00.

You will need 6 items purchased from the dollar store; 2 packages of green garland, 2 mini white Christmas lights, 1 gold bow, 1 package gold ornaments. (See picture).

Begin by forming the wreath using the green garland. Decide on the size wreath you want and form a circle that size with the garland. Continue wrapping the garland around the circle, adding the second garland when finished with the first.

Plug the two strings of mini white lights together, and then wrap the lights around the wreath. At this point I like to place the wreath on the wall or on the door and plug it in. Step back and make sure the wreath is the shape of a circle and the lights are arranged to your liking.

Attach the gold bow to the top of the wreath using wire. Add the gold balls around the wreath as desired. Hang the wreath on the door, over the fireplace or around a mirror.
