There are several online website template services like Wix, Weebly and Webs that will let create and manage your own website. Many website template services will host your website too. You may need to sign up for their basic plan, if they’re offering free and paid hosting services. After you have set up a user account, select a website template and use the website’s building tools and features to create a professional looking website.
Instructions
Step 1:
Go online and select a free website template service that you’re interested in. Use a free website template service that allows you to upload your own logos, photographs, images and customize the layout of a website template to your liking.
Step 2:
Click the “Get Started” or “Sign Up” button. Enter your personal information in the required text fields to create a user account. Type your email address in the “Email” text field. Create a password and enter your information in the “Password” text field. Click the “Create Account” button.
Step 3:
Use the website’s building tools to create a new website. Enter a title name for your website and in the “Site Title” text field. Select a category for your website and then select the type of website that you want to create. For example, click the radio buttons next to the option “Personal,” “Groups/Organizations,” or “Small Business/Professional.” Keep in mind, using the tools and features on various types of free website template services may differ.
Step 4:
Select a free website template from the website’s template gallery. Scroll through the website template screenshot images. Use the arrow keys or next page hyperlinks to help you navigate through the template gallery. When you see a website template that you want to use, move your mouse cursor over the screenshot image and left-click on it.
Step 5:
Select the type of pages that you want to add on your website. For example, click the check box next to Contact, About, Blog and Forum, if this option is available for adding additional pages to your website template. Click on the “Create My Website” button to continue.
Step 6 :
Use the free website’s building tools and features to help you customize your website layout. Click the “View” or “Publish” button when you’re done.
Step 7:
Click on the “Manage Page,” “Edit Website,” “Modify Website Template” and “Control Panel” buttons, when you want to edit a Web page or make any further changes to your website.
