How to Start Your Own Website

Note* There are no skills required to own an website and the costs for it are starting from 1.99$ for an domain name, and for hosting from 3.96$, so that means with 5.97$ you can have set up your OWN WEBSITE!

Step 1
Getting your domain name. What is an domain name? if you’re not familiar with it, its the link you put in your browser, ex: www.yahoo.com

Step 2
Once you picked up an domain name, i strongly suggest you that the name should contain something related to your website you will need to go to the following page:

www.godaddy.com

Once you accessed that website you are going to see there an text input where you are going to write your domain name and you will be able to choose the extension of it, could be for ex: .com , .co, .info, .net and so on. Although prices variates.

Make sure the domain name you want to order is available and check it out, you will be pop-up to register an account in order to finish the check out, once that is done, you made it! You’ve managed to buy your own domain.

Step 3
Once you have an domain name, you will need to host it somewhere where you are going to place your real website, so i’m suggesting you guys the best hosting out there thats hosting over 5 millions of website, can you imagine that? here it is:

www.hostgator.com

Pretty easy and basic, you just need to create an account and fill it up with your information, wont take much and you’ll be able to have your website hosted in no time.

Step 4
Once you have your domain name from godaddy.com and your web hosting from hostgator.com, you will need to forward your domain name that you registered from godaddy.com to hostgator.com, its quite simple you login in your account from godaddy.com and go under your “My Account” select the domain you bought and then you will see in your cpanel “Domain Nameservers” you will need to change those with the one you’ve got from hostgator.com in your email, and that’s all.

Step 5
Now you can access your website by entering your domain name up there in the link bar, ex: http://www.yahoo.com , but instead of www.yahoo.com you will put your domain that you bought.

CONGRATULATION YOU’VE SUCCEED TO START YOUR OWN WEBSITE!
