Here’s how to make your penguin Christmas tree ornament:

Begin creating your adorable penguin Christmas tree ornament, by cleaning out any dried seeds still stuck inside the seed pod. Next, poke a hole at the top of the seed pod, with the thumb tack. Pull your string through the hole and tie the ends together so you can hang the penguin on the Christmas tree once completed. Paint the outer side of the seed pod black. This will be the penguin’s body. Paint the point of the seed pod yellow for the penguin’s beak. When the paint is dry, glue two small googly eyes onto the top of the body piece on each side of the penguin’s beak. Stuff a cotton ball inside the seed pod to create the abdominal area of the penguin. Cut approximately 1/2 inch off of the popsicle stick and paint it orange. Glue this to the base of the penguin to create the penguin’s feet. Use a red pipe cleaner to tie as a scarf around the penguin.

Once all of the paint and glue is dried you’ll have an adorable penguin Christmas tree ornament you can give to friends and family as Christmas gifts! (On the bottom of the penguin’s popsicle stick feet, write the date just for remembering for many years to come.)

This penguin craft will not only allow you to get in touch with nature, but at the same time you”ll be creating an adorable penguin Christmas tree ornament from seed pods found right outside your front door.
