Facebook would absolutely be boring if you didn’t have enough friends anyway. Less people would pay attention to you and most importantly, you wouldn’t get as many likes and comments. Follow these steps to begin getting more friends on Facebook.
1. Like high traffic fan pages. You have to be active on the Facebook network for people to even know that your profile even exists. You can start being more active on the site by liking numerous pages and posting on their walls. Especially if the liked page has a lot of people that also liked the page. Try to like big companies, movies, TV shows, and music artists. Then, post on their walls. Try not to spam the page or people will think that you are not a real person and not add you as a friend.
2. Play games. Being active on some Facebook, Android, and iPod games could also get you lots of friend requests. Most games require that you have a certain amount of friends also playing the game to move forward or win a prize. People will add you just because of this alone. The more games like this you play, the more friends you will get.
3. Ask people. People you meet everyday or have been knowing may have a Facebook profile. It doesn’t hurt to speak up and ask them if they could add you as a friend. Most people usually would say yes unless they are a fairly private person.
4. Send friend requests. Its obvious to get more friends, you would have to just send friend requests to people. Do not go overboard with this feature, because Facebook has an auto-detect system built in and they can block you for 48 hours from sending friend requests. Try to only do up to ten requests a day. Trust me, the numbers will add up over time. Some people will accept you and some will not. It’s no big deal.
5. Post your profile as a link and tag your friends. When you do this task, make sure to add in the headline for people to add you. By tagging your friends in the link, their friends will see it to. You will be increasing the amount of people who see this. People will definitely add you this way. It is best to ask the friends you tag before you tag them so that they will not delete you as a friend. Most people hate being tagged.
