Things You’ll Need:

Newspaper
Old bath towel
Plastic ball
Clear silicon caulking
Putty knife
Flat rhinestones

Instructions:

Step 1 – Cover a flat work surface with newspaper. Fold an old bath towel into eighths. Place the plastic ball in the center of the bath towel. The bath towel holds the plastic ball so it does not roll. Another alternative to the bath towel is a round plastic container.

Step 2 – Squeeze an approximate 1-inch line of clear silicon caulking on the surface of the plastic ball. Spread the silicon over the surface of the plastic ball with a putty knife.

Step 3 – Press the flat rhinestones into the silicon caulk. Make sure the flat rhinestones are set as close together as possible.

Step 4 – Repeat Step 2 and 3 until the plastic ball is half covered with flat rhinestones. Allow the silicon caulking to dry for 1 hour. Repeat the process on the opposite side of the plastic ball.

To create a pattern on the plastic ball, draw the design on the surface of the ball with a permanent marker prior to starting the process. Place the desired flat rhinestone color over the drawn lines. Add the background flat rhinestones as you go. Still work in small areas or allow the silicon to fully dry under the flat rhinestone design before continuing.
