Ear Infection
As far as ear infections are concerned, they can be rather painful and uncomfortable for a little one. Since they are not able to speak just yet, there will be a lot of crying and fussiness. A lot of people may suggest the use of vinegar for an ear infection but this remedy should not be used under any circumstances. A few home remedies that have proven to work in this particular situation include hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil, garlic, breastfeeding and alcohol.

Hydrogen Peroxide
When using hydrogen peroxide for this infection, you will need to make a mixture that consists of 50% peroxide and 50% water. You will use this mixture to rinse the infected ear with a syringe at least twice a day.

Tea Tree Oil
When using tea tree oil, you should make a mixture of tea tree oil and vegetable oil by mixing two or three drops of the tree oil in the same amount of vegetable oil. Once you have completed this mixture, drop only two or three drops of it in the ear that seems to be infected.

Garlic
Since garlic is an awesome bacteria fighter and killer, this is the number one preferred home remedy for ear infections. Keep in mind that with this particular remedy, you can purchase garlic that has already been prepared or you can decide to make your own. You’ll need to grate three garlic cloves of medium size very thin and fine and place them in a small bowl. Once the cloves have been placed in a bowl, pour a generous amount of olive oil in the bowl and cover it so that the mixture is ready to sit overnight. Before you proceed to put a few drops in the mixture into the ear, pour it through a strainer.

Breastfeeding
As you may very well be aware, breastfeeding is the best in any situation. When it comes to ear infections, breastfeeding will eliminate any issue that is present with ear infections. There have been numerous studies that show that a bottle fed child is two more times likely to get an ear infection than a child who is breastfed.

Alcohol
Getting water in the ear can also cause ear infections and alcohol can be a great help here. In order to complete this remedy successfully, place a small sized cotton ball into the alcohol so that it is able to soak it up. Once it has been done, squeeze it into the ear.
