Forbidden Drive

There is a park which I enjoy,
I walks it’s paths and do employ.
The path besides a creek does go,
I walk through rain, I walk through snow.

I walk this path and stop and find,
A small hotel and restaurant fine.
I stop and get a meal or tea,
And rest my feet and watch and see.

I see the hikers going by,
I see the clouds and bright blue sky.
The creek flows freely unaware,
A covered bridge is located there.

The covered bridge is long and fine,
I stop and look and admire it’s lines.
The park’s many trees are a delight,
In any season or at night.

There is a statue on a cliff,
An Indian chief is there – he sits.
And watches over his domain,
Teddyuscung is his name.
