For my family, it is a song about triumph over tragedy as we first heard the song the day we found out that our unborn daughter would make it. The song brought peace, grace and hope to our family each time we heard the lyrics. “If perfects the thing you are searching for then just stay the same” became the mantra in our home. It was the one thing that everyone could agree on. While it may sound cliché to compare the hearing of a song with the miracle of life, it worked for us. The 2011 release of the dance remix as a single is a great option for the youth looking to tip and trip it throughout the night.

The album deals with Grenade and variations of its release. It seems that anything that comes out of Bruno Mar’s mouth can be sung fifty ways from Sunday and still reach the depths of your soul.
