Amos Lee has launched his fourth album Mission Bell on EMI’s Blue Note Records and it is moving up. With a cast of guest artists Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam, Pricilla Ann, Pietra Brown and James Gadson, Mission Bell better make significant progress.
Amos excelled during his duets with Willie Nelson and Lucinda Williams when his voice seemed to take off! This is the golden quality his fans want to hear.
His CD was mixed with a little gospel, country, blues and folk selections. These songs brought hope and redemption.
I would have appreciated a few happy, up-beat songs to round out the album. Brighten up your music and bring more happiness into the world!
Great news in October for Amos Lee’s new album, ‘Mission Bell’ has debuted at the top of the American album chart.
Amos took a year- and- a- half in order to sit at home and write this album. He spent a lot of time alone which he felt was helpful.
‘Mission Bell’ is the fourth album from the Blue Note Records artist and this number one on the Billboard 200 is the best chart result of his career. ‘Mission Bell’ has also debuted at number one on the US digital albums chart and number two on the internet chart.

He appeared on the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, CBS’s “Early Show” and on PBS’s “Tavis Smiley Show”.
Amos Lee has been touring and can be seen on December 31, 2011, at the Calvin Theater, in Northampton, MA. His tour schedule for 2012 has not been published yet.
