Conrad Murray Lies to Detectives About Michael Jackson’s Children

An audio tape of Conrad Murray’s interview with police detectives (aired on CNN’s Headline News, Live Trial Coverage) revealed Dr. Murray telling detectives that he comforted the Jackson children (Prince, Paris, and Blanket) at the hospital after they learned of their father’s death. He even described how Paris Jackson sobbed and told him (Dr. Murray) that she knew that he tried his best to save her dad. However, CNN’s Alan Duke reported on CNN’s Headline News that an interview with a Jackson family member contradicted that statement.

Duke reports that he spoke with Catherine Jackson’s nephew, Trent Jackson, who was with Catherine at the hospital the day that Michael died. In fact, Trent drove Mrs. Jackson to the hospital and was among the first of the family members to arrive. Duke’s conversation with Trent revealed that Dr. Murray’s statement that he “comforted the children” was untrue. In fact, Jackson stated that Dr. Murray never even took the opportunity to comfort the children nor did he spend any significant time with them at the hospital. Trent Jackson further stated that Prince said that he never talked to Murray.

Unfortunately, the jury will never hear this new information because it would require at least one of the children to take the stand and testify that Murray never had this conversation with them and never provided any comfort to them. Even though the Jackson family is upset about Murray’s misrepresentation of the truth, it is unlikely that they will allow any of the children to be put on the stand to testify. Nevertheless, as the trial progresses, there seems to be no end to Conrad Murray’s lies and improbable stories regarding the details of Michael Jackson’s death.
